FamiCare Privacy Policy

Who we are
FamiCare is published by the developer named in the store listing. Contact for privacy matters is famicare.health.app@gmail.com.
What is processed
The app is designed so that we do not need your care data at all.
Kept on your phone only, unless you turn on sharing: the names you enter for the people you care for, medicines and dose times, the dose log, care notes and photos, vitals, tasks, rota, contacts, documents, expenses, and your accessibility settings.
Sent to Supabase if you enable household sharing: your sign-in email and household membership are used to provide access. The sync service also processes the same rows, scoped to your household, protected by row-level security so a device can only read rows belonging to households it is a member of.
Sent to third parties, and why: - Google Play Billing / RevenueCat — your purchase state (product identifiers, entitlements, an installation ID, the country of your store account). We never receive your card details; Google and Apple handle payment entirely. - Google Analytics for Firebase on Android — basic app usage, such as app opens, sessions, app version and device information, linked to a pseudonymous app installation identifier. This helps us understand reliability and usage. Advertising ID collection, advertising use and automatic screen reporting are disabled. We do not send care records, medicines, notes, names, photos, account IDs or e-mail addresses to Analytics. - Your notification channel — reminder text is rendered by the operating system. Reminder content stays on the device.
Not collected by Analytics: advertising identifiers or the care data you enter. The app does not access your contact list, microphone or camera roll beyond the photo or document you pick.
Legal basis
Where personal data is involved, we rely on your consent (installing and configuring the app, enabling sharing) and, for reminders that concern a vulnerable adult, the consent of that person or their lawfully appointed attorney/deputy. FamiCare is a record-keeping aid, not a medical device, and makes no clinical decisions.
Health data
Notes you write can contain health information about a third party (the person you care for). That is deliberate: the record belongs to the household. Keep their consent current, and use the sensitive-document lock for documents that should only be visible to specific roles.
Deletion
Delete everything stored on this phone from Settings ▸ Data ▸ "Delete all records from this phone". That action removes the local copy and stops this phone's queued sync writes. Copies already shared with a household remain part of that household record; ask an authorised household member to remove them. Deleting your Google or Apple account does not by itself delete shared household rows, because those rows may be the household's clinical record. If you signed in, use Settings → Account → Delete account to delete your account. If you are the sole household member, the shared household record is deleted. If others are members, the household can continue with another owner. For deletion requests you can also email the privacy contact above.
Retention
Local data is kept until you delete it. Copies already shared with a household remain part of that household record until they are removed by an authorised household member, the member leaves, or the household is empty for 90 days.
Your rights
Access and portability: Settings ▸ Data ▸ Export (JSON, one file, readable anywhere). Rectification and erasure: in-app, immediately. Objection and complaint: e-mail us, or your national supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Children
FamiCare is not directed at children. Care recipients are frequently adults; the app assumes an adult or their attorney configures it.
Changes
If this notice changes materially, the app shows the new version at the next launch and asks for consent again before any sharing resumes.
